Job Description
Our customer is undergoing a large-scale digital commerce transformation and are seeking a hands-on Salesforce Order Management (OMS) Technical Architect to lead the design and implementation of a Salesforce Commerce and Order Management solution.
This is a highly technical architecture role where you’ll own end-to-end solution design, integration architecture, order lifecycle strategy, and technical leadership throughout implementation. The ideal candidate has successfully delivered multiple Salesforce OMS implementations and brings deep expertise across ecommerce, order management, and enterprise integrations.
Responsibilities:
Lead the technical architecture and implementation of Salesforce Order Management solutions.
Design end-to-end order lifecycle processes including order capture, fulfillment, shipping, returns, exchanges, cancellations, refunds, and payment processing.
Translate business requirements into scalable Salesforce OMS solution designs and technical specifications.
Architect integrations between Salesforce OMS and ERP, warehouse management systems (WMS), payment providers, tax engines, shipping carriers, inventory platforms, customer service applications, and middleware.
Define data models, automation strategies, API patterns, exception handling, and platform scalability.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to Salesforce developers, administrators, and integration teams.
Review technical designs, user stories, integration specifications, and code to ensure best practices.
Support solution delivery through build, testing, deployment, production cutover, and post-launch stabilization.
Identify technical risks, implementation dependencies, and architecture tradeoffs throughout the project lifecycle.
Serve as the primary technical authority for Salesforce OMS architecture and solution decisions.
Required Qualifications:
10+ years of experience designing and delivering commerce, ecommerce, or order management solutions.
Experience leading at least two full lifecycle Salesforce Order Management (OMS) implementations.
Deep hands-on experience with Salesforce OMS, including order lifecycle configuration, fulfillment, returns, refunds, exchanges, cancellations, payment summaries, and order summaries.
Strong experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud, including B2B Commerce and/or B2C Commerce.
Expertise designing order capture, fulfillment, delivery, and post-fulfillment business processes.
Proven experience integrating Salesforce with ERP systems, WMS, payment gateways, tax engines, inventory platforms, shipping carriers, middleware, and customer service applications.
Strong knowledge of Apex, Flow, Lightning components, API integration patterns, Salesforce data modeling, and event-driven architecture.
Experience leading technical design workshops and collaborating with business stakeholders, product owners, enterprise architects, and development teams.
Experience supporting deployment planning, technical documentation, cutover activities, production support, and stabilization.
