Description
NetSuite Project Manager / Super User
Confidential client · Nonprofit sector · Boston, MA
Our client, a mission-driven nonprofit organization in Boston, is deep into a full NetSuite deployment migrating from a legacy on-premise Great Plains environment. The chart of accounts is live and design work is well underway. They need a hands-on project manager who can also operate as an internal NetSuite super user and serve as the primary bridge between their finance team and the implementation consultants. This is not a passive coordination role. They want a proactive taskmaster who owns scheduling, drives meeting cadence inside and outside the organization, and keeps the team on task without waiting to be asked.
Start
Immediate
Hours
Approximately 10 hrs/week now, ramping to 15 to 20 hrs/week through the November and December heavy lift
Target go-live
January
What you'll do
Drive the implementation from the client side, owning timelines, milestone accountability, and stakeholder deadlines
Serve as the internal NetSuite super user and primary liaison with the external implementation team
Own meeting scheduling, invites, and follow-through across internal teams and outside parties
Support system walkthroughs, business process refinement, and UAT coordination through go-live
Lead post-go-live stabilization, with Salesforce and third-party integrations planned as a later phase
Provide support on audit activities running alongside the implementation
What we're looking for
Strong accounting background with the financial fluency to inform ERP design decisions
Hands-on NetSuite implementation experience, ideally across multiple projects or modules
Nonprofit sector experience strongly preferred, especially grant management, grant funding tracking, or fund accounting
Great Plains familiarity a plus given the legacy environment
Naturally assertive, communication-forward, and proactive
Greater Boston preference for occasional onsite presence, largely remote otherwise
The opportunity
This engagement runs at least through the January go-live with likely post-go-live work as integrations come online. The organization values consistent, visible engagement and clear communication above all.
