D365 F&O WMS Consultant

The D365 F&O WMS Consultant will be instrumental in delivering specialised expertise to optimise warehouse management processes. Tasked with enhancing operational efficiency and accuracy, this role exists to bridge the gap between technology and complex supply chain demands, ensuring that the Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations platform fully supports evolving distribution and inventory workflows. The successful candidate will directly impact the seamless flow of warehouse operations, helping to reduce costs and improve service delivery by configuring and fine-tuning the warehouse management system.

In this hybrid role, the D365 F&O WMS Consultant will engage with key stakeholders to assess operational requirements and translate them into system design and configuration within Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. A strong focus will be on driving improvements that align warehouse management processes with business objectives, particularly within the construction materials sector where timely delivery and accurate stock control are critical. This position requires a hands-on approach to identifying challenges and deploying practical solutions across warehousing and distribution functions.

The day-to-day responsibilities will involve close collaboration with supply chain and IT teams to implement and support WMS capabilities embedded within the D365 environment. The consultant will analyse current workflows and recommend adjustments or enhancements that facilitate better stock tracking, automation of routine tasks, and optimisation of space and labour resources in warehouses.

Candidates considered for this role should demonstrate a solid background in Warehouse Management Systems implementation or optimisation, specifically linked to Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. Practical knowledge of distribution environments within industrial or construction-related sectors will be highly relevant. Strong analytical skills to understand complex logistics workflows and translate them into system requirements are key, alongside excellent communication capabilities to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
