Questions about Revolent's Tech Careers Programs
Why choose a career in a specialist technology, such as the cloud?
Since the pandemic forced many organizations worldwide to move either to partial or fully-remote working, the tech skills gap has grown considerably, with lots of companies struggling to find professionals who can improve their digital processes and fast-track their digital transformation, and support the adoption of AI technologies.
Consequently, the creation of trained professionals has become a top priority for the tech sector. As organizations continue to invest in cloud and AI capabilities, roles in specialist technologies are some of the best-paid jobs in tech.
People who work with technologies like Databricks, Google Cloud, Microsoft, Salesforce or Snowflake can take their pick from a range of job roles with a variety of companies that offer amazing salaries. Plus, they get to work with some of the most innovative technologies in the world, including AI.
You can find more information on reasons to pivot your career to a specialist technology on our blog page.
What experience do you need in order to join the program?
The criteria for each Careers Program is laid out on the relevant careers page.
For Developer roles, we generally ask that all candidates have previous object-oriented programming and commercial experience and have been through at least one software development lifecycle.
Our AI Forward Deployed Engineer Careers Program is for experienced technology professionals.
How do the Tech Careers Programs work?
Through our two-year programs, we recruit, cross-train and place skilled tech professionals in world-leading specialist technologies, such as Databricks, Google Cloud, Microsoft, Salesforce and Snowflake, with AI training included to reflect evolving industry demand.
Our consultants, known as ‘Revols’, become part of an elite network. They complete an initial training course, led by our expert instructors, before earning their first industry-recognized certifications. This is followed by a work placement on-site with one or more of our world-leading clients for a period of up to two years. The placement helps Revols to refine their skills, undertake additional certifications and gain valuable industry experience in a real business setting, including applying AI in real-world projects.
I have submitted the 'register your interest' form but haven't heard back yet. What are the next steps?
Due to the high volume of interest we receive, unfortunately we are unable to respond to each candidate individually. However, if your skill set and prior experience align with one of our open roles, a member of our Talent Acquisition team will reach out to you to discuss the next steps.
In the meantime, check out our Blog which is packed with more information as well as useful tips to help you kick-start your journey in a specialist technology.
What training pathways are available?
You can find a full list of the available training pathways on our pathway page.
After you register interest in one of our Careers Programs, if we have a role available that matches your existing skill set, one of our Talent Acquisition consultants will contact you.
Why do I need to commit to up to two years?
We ask you to commit to up to two years (working on one or more of our client’s sites) in order to get the full value out of our innovative program. For clients, this ensures a continuity of service. For our Revols, it ensures they have up to two years of commercial experience to help them progress further in their career.
What if a Revol wants to leave within the client placement period?
If a Revol chooses to leave during the client placement period of up to two years, they will be responsible for the repayment of training costs to allow us to recoup some of the investment we have made thus far. Our Talent Acquisition consultants will discuss the details of the repayment schedule with each candidate during the interview process. In addition, this is outlined clearly in our employment contracts.
Can Revols drop out during the training period, if they don’t like it?
All training will starts with a two-week trial period, so Revols can become acclimatized to working in their chosen field. This also gives them time to figure out if the program feels right for them.
During this two-week period, a Revol can choose to leave at any point, without incurring any fees. However, if they decide to leave after the two-week period, they become liable for repaying any costs associated with the training they’ve received so far (see question above for more details).
How are salaries determined?
Salaries are dependent upon the role and previous work experience. During the interview process, your Talent Acquisition consultant will discuss the compensation package for the available role.

Our Revols are the most important part of our business, which is why we invest heavily in their professional development, from day one.
All Revols get access to our various support networks, including our Learning & Development (L&D) team, technical trainers and our own Learning Management System. Using this system, Revols can access on-demand training content on popular topics to continue growing their technical and soft skills.
If I’ve already got vendor certifications, can I skip the training?

If you have any planned time off during these periods, you should discuss this with your Talent Acquisition consultant at the earliest possible opportunity.
What if a Revol has to leave within the two years due to circumstances outside of their control?
If a Revol needs to leave because of circumstances that are outside of their control, our team will work with them to find a suitable solution. This may include taking leave and returning at a later date.
I don't have any certifications or experience with Databricks, Google Cloud, Microsoft, Salesforce or Snowflake. What's my first step?
Breaking into any new technology can be challenging. Relevant tech certifications will definitely increase your chances of success, but you also need to gain crucial practical experience working for a business that uses the technology you’d like to specialize in.
We recommend that you start by upskilling online and learn as much as you can about the platform you’d like to work with. For example, if you’re interested in Salesforce, check out Trailhead. Then, look to earn some Salesforce certifications.
As well as funded certifications and training, our Career Programs include a paid work placement with one or more of the world’s leading companies and tech giants, which will certainly help you stand out in the job market.
