Overview
We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Consultant with deep expertise in commissions structures, calculations, troubleshooting, and process optimization. This role is ideal for a functional consultant who understands both the technical and business aspects of commissions workflows and can translate complex compensation models into scalable, automated solutions within Business Central.

Key Responsibilities
Business Central Functional Consulting
• Lead functional consulting engagements focused on Finance, Sales, and Compensation workflows within D365 Business Central.
• Configure and optimize Business Central modules, especially Sales, Finance, General Ledger, and Commissions-related extensions.
• Conduct requirements gathering, fit gap analysis, and solution design sessions with business stakeholders.
• Develop functional specifications for customizations, integrations, and enhancements.
Implementation, Support & Training
• Support end to end Business Central implementations, upgrades, and ongoing enhancements.
• Perform system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and documentation delivery.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer to end users and client teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve functional issues related to commissions, data integrity, GL posting, and sales workflows.
Collaboration & Communication
• Work closely with developers to guide and validate technical customizations.
• Communicate complex system concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Provide recommendations for best practices, governance, controls, and process optimization.

Required Qualifications
• 3–7+ years of experience as a D365 Business Central (or NAV) Functional Consultant.
• Strong understanding of commissions processes, compensation models, and related financial workflows.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting commission calculation discrepancies and resolving issues across sales orders, invoices, and related BC tables.
• Experience with Business Central Extensions (AL apps), third-party commissions modules, or custom commissions engines.
• Solid knowledge of core modules: Sales, Purchasing, Finance, Inventory, and Reporting.
• Ability to translate business requirements into system configurations and functional specifications.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Power BI for commissions reporting or performance dashboards.
• Familiarity with Power Automate and Dataverse.
• Background working with subscription, distribution, manufacturing, or services industries where commissions are complex.
• Experience with integrations to CRM systems (e.g., Dynamics 365 CE, Salesforce).
