D365 Finance Solution Architect / Senior Specialist

My client are embarking on a MS journey with a new end-to-end ERP tech implementation, using the MS stack for operational systems within complex shipping & logistics processes but also for the finance system. They are implementing D365 F&O finance but currently have no internal competence, ownership or capabilities and are therefore looking for an individual to join their journey and lead the charge.

The organisation are working closely and directly with Microsoft with no other vendor currently on the project – this is a long term digital journey and the client want to prioritise hiring internal experts to own and architect their D365 solutions.

This person will be the owner for all F&O architecture and the tech stack. Seniority wise, I need someone with a strong background in F&O, deep configuration experience who has done it before and still at the step where they can be hands on to understand key details but also drive future architecture or solutioning.

You would also play a major role in the AI roadmap for the D365 platform. We expect to see Agents on the platform soon, so you must have the ability and passion/interest to drive this journey on the AI side. It is less focussed on number of years but more about hands-on ability and hiring someone that’s keen on developing themselves further and growing into the role as the landscape develops.

In time, the company's strategy is to build a digital solutions team - first up is this F&O Specialist, followed by an Integration Developer relating to the finance stack, then 1-2 more Consultants with strong project management skills.

I'd love to speak with someone who has hands on experience as a Senior F&O Finance Consultant who is at the top of their game, with the clear interest in growing their own personal development.

The candidate doesn’t necessarily have to come from a finance background as in an Accountant/Controller etc., but you must have deep knowledge and configuration experience in the D365 finance module as a Consultant or Internal ERP Specialist.

With digital hubs in both Oslo and Gothenburg, the candidate can be based in either location. You must be living there today - business language is English, although local language skills are seen as a plus.

Key Requirements:

-Several years of experience with D365 F&O, ideally from one of the major local MS consultancies
-Hands-on expertise in D365, Power Platform, and Azure integration technologies.
-Keen interest in AI/Agent-based automation, orchestration and configuration
-Good understanding of financial and OTC processes (invoicing, billing, payments and reporting).
-Strong communicator who can bridge business goals and technical solutions in a global context.
