Job Description

Bridging the gap between complex business needs and technical delivery, the Salesforce Technical Business Analyst is instrumental in driving the successful execution of Salesforce projects and supporting day-to-day operational demands. This role exists to alleviate pressure on key stakeholders by transforming ambiguous requests into clear, actionable solutions while contributing to the continuous enhancement of a heavily customised Salesforce environment within the financial services sector. Operating remotely, the position demands a proactive individual capable of balancing strategic project involvement with responsive ad hoc problem solving, ensuring seamless collaboration between sales users, product ownership, and development teams.

The Salesforce Technical Business Analyst acts as a vital interface for gathering and clarifying requirements, but the role extends far beyond documentation. Working in close partnership with the Product Owner, this individual will help shape priorities, refine the backlog, and coordinate project activities to maintain forward momentum. A confident and resourceful presence, they will challenge assumptions constructively and propose alternative approaches when necessary, fostering improved outcomes. Alongside handling approximately 70% project and strategic initiatives, the analyst will dedicate the remaining time to troubleshooting, managing operational support requests, and delivering straightforward Salesforce configurations to meet immediate business needs.

Day-to-day responsibilities include translating business problems into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical documentation that enable developers to deliver effective solutions. The successful candidate will oversee the coordination of user acceptance testing and facilitate stakeholder feedback to ensure quality and alignment with requirements. With a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and release management, they will help schedule deployments and resolve defects efficiently. Additionally, the role encompasses investigative work in a customised Salesforce platform, requiring analytical skills to independently identify and solve issues while contributing to AI-enabled workflow enhancements designed to optimise processes.

The technology environment underpinning this role features a highly customised Salesforce platform with significant use of Financial Services Cloud and Marketing Cloud Account Engagement. The analyst is expected to have working knowledge of Salesforce objects and fields, Flow automation, and business process automation principles, applying this expertise practically through basic configuration tasks such as field creation and Flow adjustments. Familiarity with in-house development collaboration and ticketing tools—aligned with Azure or similar platforms—is essential to support effective issue tracking and workflow management.

This contract position offers a fully remote working arrangement, requiring a self-motivated approach and excellent communication skills to maintain transparent and ongoing dialogue between business users and technical teams. While benefits are not specified, the role presents an opportunity to embed within a skilled and approachable team environment where ownership of work is valued alongside flexibility and adaptability. The successful Salesforce Technical Business Analyst will bring a curious mindset and the confidence to question current methods, helping to advance digital transformation and operational delivery within the private equity investment space.

Candidates must possess demonstrable Salesforce business analysis experience supported by practical administration or configuration capabilities. Experience in financial services adds important context, ensuring that solutions are tailored to industry-specific needs and compliance requirements. This role requires collaboration at multiple levels, from engaging with product owners and developers to liaising with stakeholders across the business. A keen interest in emerging technologies, including AI applications in business workflows, will be advantageous as the organisation looks to integrate innovative tools such as “Claudforce” to enhance automation.

Success in this Salesforce Technical Business Analyst role will be measured through the ability to relieve Product Owner workload, accelerate project delivery, resolve configuration issues independently, and maintain effective communication channels. Ultimately, this is a critical role for enabling the business to achieve its strategic goals by ensuring Salesforce continues to deliver value, agility, and user satisfaction.

This contract role sits within the private equity investment sector, operating at the intersection of finance and technology where robust digital solutions are crucial to maintain competitive advantage and regulatory compliance.

Job Description

Driving data-led decision-making within a complex manufacturing environment, the Senior Systems Engineer will serve as a pivotal analytics partner to business stakeholders. This role exists to bridge the gap between business objectives and analytical insight, enhancing performance by developing clear, impactful reporting frameworks supported by Power BI and advanced data visualisation techniques in an Azure cloud environment. By shaping how data is translated into actionable knowledge, the successful candidate will influence strategic decisions, risk management, and operational improvements across multiple business areas.

In this role, the Senior Systems Engineer will act as a trusted advisor, guiding stakeholders through the discovery and refinement of reporting requirements. Rather than simply recreating existing manual reports, the role focuses on challenging and evolving business queries to uncover deeper insights and improve overall data literacy. Through facilitating workshops and collaborative sessions, the engineer will help define relevant KPIs, metrics, and business rules that feed into scalable and consistent business intelligence (BI) solutions. This ensures that reporting outputs not only meet immediate needs but also align with broader enterprise data strategies.

This includes detailed articulation of security requirements, data definitions, calculations, and expected outcomes that will inform report design. The Senior Systems Engineer will lead on larger and more complex enterprise BI initiatives, coordinating across functions to maintain alignment and encourage the adoption of standardised metrics. With the increasing reliance on data-driven tools and self-service analytics, the role will also provide expert guidance on the effective use of Power BI dashboards to maximise stakeholder engagement and insight generation.

The practical day-to-day activities encompass facilitating stakeholder workshops to define business performance measures, leading requirements discovery sessions, and conducting analytical problem-framing to ensure reports are purposeful and strategically valuable. The role requires a thorough assessment of BI demand, weighing factors such as business value, urgency, and resource availability to prioritise work efficiently. Collaboration and communication with diverse stakeholder groups are essential to achieve consensus on reporting priorities and maintain consistency in data interpretation.

Operating remotely, this senior role suits an individual experienced in environments utilising Azure platforms for data engineering and business intelligence integration. Experience working as an analytics partner in cross-functional settings will be important, especially where guidance on BI tools, dashboarding, and data visualisation has improved decision-making processes. Knowledge of Power BI features and Azure integration is essential to drive the technical aspects of the role confidently.

Manufacturing within the machinery sector provides the context for this position, where technology-enabled data analytics support continuous business improvement and operational excellence. The Senior Systems Engineer in this environment will play a key role in shaping how data transforms business outcomes through insightful reporting and robust BI solutions.
