Arbeitsbeschreibung

Taking a central role in operational delivery, the Inventory Control Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining impeccable inventory accuracy across a dynamic logistics environment. This role exists to ensure that stock levels reflect real-time status through rigorous cycle counts, data reconciliation, and process improvements, directly impacting order fulfilment and overall supply chain reliability. The successful candidate will oversee a small team, blending on-the-ground warehouse leadership with advanced system management to identify and address inventory discrepancies within both Warehouse Management System (WMS) and ERP platforms. This position supports a strategic relocation to a new facility, offering a chance to influence inventory control processes during a critical business transition.

The Inventory Control Supervisor will lead the planning and execution of daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts structured around ABC inventory classification to prioritise high-impact stock items. They will organise and oversee annual physical inventory audits, ensuring accuracy targets of 99% or higher are consistently met. A key part of the role is conducting detailed root-cause analyses on discrepancies between system records and physical stock, utilising transaction histories within the Business Central ERP to pinpoint sources of variance. This analytical approach involves exporting and manipulating extensive data sets in Excel, employing advanced functions such as pivot tables and lookup formulas to track trends in shrinkage, location errors, and adjustment patterns over time.

Supervising up to ten team members, including clerks dedicated to inventory reconciliation and reporting tasks, the Inventory Control Supervisor will provide training and performance evaluations to build a highly capable unit. Regular collaboration with stakeholders across Receiving, Shipping, Production, second-shift management, and Finance teams is essential in mitigating stockouts, minimising material scrap, and reducing order errors. The role also involves oversight of inventory management responsibilities within an integrated 3PL and ecommerce environment, ensuring smooth operation between ERP systems and third-party logistics software platforms.

Operating initially from a training base at a supporting facility, the appointed Inventory Control Supervisor will transition alongside warehousing operations to the newly constructed Joliet site, where the role will be permanently based. This full-time, first-shift position operates Monday through Friday, requiring a hands-on approach that includes physical activity such as standing and walking on the warehouse floor and the ability to lift items up to 40 pounds. Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, ecommerce order management systems, and warehouse automation will enable the successful candidate to effectively manage the technology-driven facets of inventory control.

Candidates should bring between two to four years of practical experience in inventory control and logistics operations, with at least one year in a supervisory capacity, demonstrating a thorough understanding of how inventory accuracy influences downstream processes including customer satisfaction and procurement planning. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is imperative, given the role’s requirement to handle and analyse large datasets for operational insights. A solid mathematical foundation and excellent data literacy are critical for diagnosing complex inventory issues and facilitating data-driven decision-making. While a High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory, further education in supply chain, logistics, or related fields will be advantageous.

The Inventory Control Supervisor position is embedded within a manufacturing sector environment, where precise inventory management is key to sustaining operational excellence and supporting the broader supply chain. By ensuring consistency, accuracy, and efficiency in inventory processes, this role plays a pivotal part in upholding the seamless flow of materials, enabling the business to meet customer demand reliably.

This role invites professionals who thrive on blending technical system expertise with practical warehouse oversight in support of ongoing operational delivery and continuous business improvement.

What if you could shape the data architecture behind the next generation of AI-powered business intelligence?
We’re looking for an experienced Lead Data Engineer to help advance the data, analytics and intelligence capabilities at the heart of our growing technology platform.

We’re a UK-based, venture-backed AI scale-up working with some of the world’s largest organisations. Our patented technologies combine advanced analytics, AI and high-quality data to help businesses understand capability, improve performance and make better-informed decisions.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of complex technical challenges, work with high-quality datasets and build solutions that deliver meaningful value for enterprise clients.

Initially, this is a senior, hands-on technical role with significant influence over architecture, engineering standards and technical direction. As the business grows, there will also be opportunities to develop and lead a wider data engineering function.

What you’ll be doing
You’ll play a central role in shaping how we build, manage and deliver data-driven intelligence.
Zu Ihren Aufgaben gehören:
Designing, building and operating scalable data platforms and pipelines for large, complex datasets.
Developing our Data-as-a-Service capabilities across products, analytics and customer solutions.
Transforming high-quality data into trusted, decision-ready intelligence for enterprise clients.

You’ll have the freedom to challenge existing approaches, introduce new ideas and influence the long-term technical direction of our data capabilities.

What we’re looking for
We’re interested in an experienced data engineer who combines strong technical foundations with curiosity, sound judgement and a practical approach to solving complex problems.
You’ll ideally bring:
Significant experience designing, building and operating production-grade data platforms.
Experience working with large, complex or high-volume datasets.
Strong knowledge of data architecture, pipelines, transformation, storage, modelling and orchestration.
Experience delivering analytics and business intelligence capabilities that support reliable decision-making.
Experience designing and operating secure data services and APIs.
Practical experience enabling AI and machine learning systems through dependable, well-governed data.
A strong understanding of statistics, data science, experimental methods and probabilistic reasoning.
Experience with Bayesian or probabilistic modelling and deterministic or rules-based decision systems.
An understanding of agentic AI architectures, including data access, tool integration, orchestration, evaluation and observability.
Experience working in enterprise or other high-trust environments.
A strong understanding of data security, privacy, regulatory compliance and responsible data use.
You’ll also care about engineering quality, maintainability, automated testing, peer review, documentation and building systems that can be trusted.

What we’d like to see
The following experience would be a real advantage, although you don’t need to have worked with everything listed:

Access to our central Cambridge and London offices for collaboration and team activities.
Significant technical autonomy and influence over architecture and engineering direction.
The opportunity to work on innovative AI, data and analytics technologies.
The chance to work with some of the world’s largest and most exciting organisations.
The opportunity to help shape and potentially lead a growing data engineering function.

Location and eligibility
This is a remote-first position, open to candidates based anywhere in the UK. We have offices in central Cambridge and central London for those occasions when face-to-face collaboration is beneficial.
Applicants must:
Be resident in the UK.
Have the right to work in the UK.
Have lived continuously in the UK for the previous five years.
Be able to complete role-appropriate pre-employment screening.

    • Dynamics 365 Business Central

Arbeitsbeschreibung

Delivered during a critical phase of post-go-live stabilisation and optimisation, the Senior D365 BC Consultant will provide vital expertise to ensure the seamless operation and ongoing enhancement of a recently implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central system. This role exists to address current challenges in functional support and system troubleshooting, enabling the business to maximise the value of its Business Central investment. Working closely with internal IT leadership and Finance stakeholders, the successful candidate will independently resolve complex issues and steer optimization activities, ensuring a robust and efficient ERP environment that supports future growth.

In this role, the Senior D365 BC Consultant will lead hands-on efforts to stabilise and refine the Business Central implementation across core financial and manufacturing processes. The initial focus will be on addressing unresolved post-go-live issues, enhancing system configuration, and providing expert guidance to internal teams. The role demands a thorough understanding of Dynamics 365 Business Central’s financial modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable, with particular emphasis on month-end closing and comprehensive financial reporting. Additionally, expertise in cost and production accounting within a manufacturing context will be invaluable to align the ERP system with operational needs.

The day-to-day activities involve a blend of troubleshooting, user support, and system configuration. The Senior D365 BC Consultant will act as a subject matter expert, taking ownership of issues rather than merely escalating them. This means diagnosing root causes of problems, recommending practical solutions, and implementing improvements to both the system and related business processes. Delivering end-user training and mentoring internal staff will be essential to build capability and confidence within the business following the system go-live. Collaboration with finance teams and IT professionals will be a regular feature, ensuring alignment between technical configurations and user requirements.

This position is offered on a contract basis for an initial term of three months, with scope for extension based on business needs. It is primarily remote, with an expectation of up to 20% travel to support stakeholder engagement and on-site interventions where necessary. A minimum commitment of 40 hours per week is required, reflecting the critical nature of the stabilisation and optimisation phase. The role offers the potential to evolve into a broader consulting engagement, including involvement in partner transitions and further Business Central enhancements.

Candidates for this position should bring strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and a solid finance and accounting background tailored to the platform’s environment. Demonstrable expertise in financial modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, as well as journal entries, month-end close, and reporting, is essential. Experience supporting ERP implementations, particularly migrations and post-go-live support, will be highly valued. The ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve complex Business Central issues is critical, as is experience in delivering functional guidance and fostering continual improvement.

Additional knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting and production-related financial processes will be advantageous, especially within food and beverage or manufacturing industries. Familiarity with production costing, manufacturing workflows, and ERP integrations related to these areas will support more effective system utilisation. While not essential, experience with Aptean Food & Beverage solutions and skills in Power BI for advanced Business Central reporting would further strengthen a candidate’s suitability.

The role is designed for a proactive consultant who can work autonomously and take ownership of challenges while fostering positive working relationships with both finance and IT teams. Effective communication skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving will be necessary to manage the diverse requirements of this complex environment successfully.

This contract opportunity sits within the wider accommodation and food services sector, providing a context where technological enablement and operational excellence are key to competitive advantage. By joining at this important stage of the system lifecycle, the Senior D365 BC Consultant will have a tangible impact on business performance and support a smooth transition into a more optimised, stable ERP environment.

Playing a pivotal part in the ongoing refinement and deployment of NetSuite applications, the successful candidate will influence the digital frameworks that underpin core business activities.

The primary purpose of this contract-based position centres on leveraging deep functional expertise to architect solutions that streamline workflows and enhance system performance. The NetSuite Consultant will work closely with stakeholders to interpret business needs, translate them into detailed specifications, and guide implementation efforts that reduce complexity and improve data integrity. By doing so, this role contributes directly to optimising the technological environment critical to business growth and scalability.

Key responsibilities will involve assessing existing configurations, identifying areas for improvement, and designing tailored solutions within the NetSuite platform. The role demands a thorough understanding of the suite’s functionalities to recommend and deliver modifications that support various operational processes. Collaborating with technical teams and business users is essential, ensuring that functional designs align with overall system architecture and operational goals.

Day-to-day activities include analysing system requirements, participating in workshops or discussions to gather detailed input, and producing documentation that supports solution development and user adoption. The consultant will also provide ongoing functional support, helping to resolve issues and assist in testing new features or workflows before deployment. Communication across departments and levels is important to maintain project momentum and drive successful outcomes.

Operating within a fully remote setup, this position offers flexibility in working arrangements while maintaining a focus on delivering high-quality results within defined contract periods. The sector relevant to this role is the computer software industry, specifically within information technology. This environment demands individuals who can adapt quickly to evolving technologies and contribute meaningfully to the continuous improvement of software platforms supporting critical business functions. The NetSuite Consultant role provides an important bridge between technology enablement and operational delivery in this fast-paced industry.

The role demands a pragmatic approach to the adoption and enforcement of Agile methodologies, including Scrum as the core framework, with Kanban, Lean, and SAFe experience providing additional depth.

Working at 50% part-time commitment, this contract position offers continuity through renewable three-month engagements, starting immediately. The role requires fluency in English due to the international scope of the project. Candidates will find themselves contributing to a mission-critical software solution supporting research activities that rely on precise data handling and sample management.

Candidates should possess a minimum of five years’ experience working in an Agile environment, with at least three years dedicated to the Scrum Master role. Prior exposure to the responsibilities of a Product Owner is highly valued, reflecting the close interplay between product vision and delivery within this team. Certifications such as PSM I/II or CSM are desirable indicators of professional expertise and commitment to Agile standards. Proficiency in running facilitation workshops employing methodologies like Design Thinking and User Story Mapping will complement the ability to guide the team toward collaborative problem-solving and innovative outcomes.

This role’s hybrid working arrangement requires a presence on-site for around two days each week at locations near Saclay or Suresnes, ensuring critical face-to-face interaction while supporting flexibility. The successful Scrum Master will find themselves embedded within a productive setting that balances agile discipline with the challenges of managing complex dependencies across multiple solution streams.

The position is within the information technology and services sector, specialising in software solutions that enable advanced data management for research purposes. The contract nature of the role supports a focused engagement aligned precisely with the evolving needs of the project, offering a professional environment where agile expertise directly influences technical and operational success.
