Beschreibung
TRG (Tenth Revolution Group) is proud to be partnering exclusively with SwarmFarm Robotics, a pioneer in autonomous agriculture technology. We're helping them grow their team with a capable and proactive Electrical Engineer who wants to be part of an innovative, high-impact organisation shaping the future of farming.
We are on a mission to inspire and empower farmers around the world and together is how we make it happen. Knowing your job is knowing your position on this team. Like elite athletes, we win together when everyone owns their role, trusts their teammates, and plays to their strengths. Clarity drives confidence, and confidence drives results. Let’s ensure you know your role on our team. GAME ON!
ZWECK
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing and owning the electrical system across our products. This will include power requirements of all sensors, computers, GPS units, batteries and charging as well as CAN, ethernet, IO and the electrical interface for SwarmConnect attachments. You will be responsible for maintaining up to date harness drawings, electrical schematics and documentation. You’ll work closely with product owners to review and sign off designs before release, and with our harness supplier to turn those designs into reliable wiring. Your influence will directly impact the reliability of the product and the customer experience.
HAUPTAUFGABEN
Electrical Design
• Design CAN bus and ethernet networks including bus topology, baud rate and bus load
• Design for harsh environments considering factors such as heat, dust, vibration, connectors and sealing
• Design power distribution and protection circuits
• Design safety circuit wiring to meet specifications provided
• Work with the engineering team to select and approve electrical components suitable for the application
• Present designs for review and sign-off with product owners before release to production
Power Budgeting / IO Assignment
• Assess electrical requirements of any new sensors or components to be used across any of our products and ensure there is an adequate power supply to them
• Ensure inputs and outputs are suitable for the application they are used for
• Assess total system power requirements and charging system setup to ensure the required operating targets are met
• Maximise component lifetime by using well designed electronics to avoid power spikes / dips and wiring burnouts
• Understand capabilities for attachments that plug into the robot and when an extra solution will be needed for power supply
Testing & Validation
• Provide structured test plans and data collection requirements to ensure correct system performance and have confidence in the solution
• Utilise extra test sensors where required to collect specific data to validate field performance
• Utilise an oscilloscope and other test equipment to analyse fast spikes and ensure protection to all sensitive electronics
Problem Solving, Diagnostics and Issue Resolution
• Lead investigation of repeat component failures, collecting data to identify or rule out electrical causes
• Apply strong analytical and debugging skills to improve system stability and eliminate recurring issues
• Support integration partners by diagnosing problems, validating fixes, and ensuring compatibility with SwarmFarm systems
Technical Drawings and Documentation
• Maintain accurate schematics and technical drawings across all of our products
• Provide technical documentation on the operation of charging and other electrical systems for both our technical support and field service teams
• Work with our harness supplier/s to keep all manufacturing drawings up to date and correctly capturing particular routing or other niche requirements
• Work with manufacturing and operations to provide engineering change notifications and track wiring versions across machines
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
• Work with the support and field service teams to provide drawings and documentation in a manner that is easy for them to use
• Work with the software and mechanical team to create advanced interactive tools for analysing and viewing schematics including harness routing in the 3D CAD models.
• Contribute to scalable testing processes, documentation, and internal toolkits that enhance engineering productivity and system reliability
