Descripción
Driving sustainable growth within a practice focused on Microsoft Dynamics 365 and AI-powered business applications, the Senior Leader of Business Applications takes ownership of sales targets, pipeline development, and strategic partnerships. This role exists to translate complex ERP and CRM technologies into tangible business improvements, helping clients harness AI capabilities such as Copilot and Copilot Studio to optimise finance, operations, sales, and service functions. With a clear focus on elevating client outcomes, the successful candidate will lead market engagement efforts, converting opportunities into meaningful projects that demonstrate measurable value, particularly within manufacturing and organisations experiencing acquisitions.
The Senior Leader of Business Applications will be at the forefront of expanding revenue streams across Dynamics 365, Business Central, and related AI solutions. This involves nurturing existing relationships and forging new ties with Microsoft and various channel partners to cultivate Microsoft-funded assessments and innovative AI proof-of-concept initiatives. By collaborating closely with an experienced delivery team and internal sales resources, the role demands a strong commercial acumen to ensure proposals are well scoped, commercially viable, and aligned with client objectives. A critical element is advancing AI use cases from pilot phases through to operational deployment, ensuring data quality, security, governance, and measurable benefits remain integral throughout the process.
Day-to-day responsibilities include owning the full sales cycle—from pipeline generation and forecasting to closing deals—with CFOs, COOs, and senior finance or operations leaders. This role requires developing account plans that focus on renewals, business expansion, and driving AI adoption within client environments. The Senior Leader of Business Applications will leverage packaged offerings such as Dynamics 365 migrations, multi-entity finance consolidation, and AI readiness assessments, with a tactical emphasis on sectors navigating acquisitions or transformation. These activities are complemented by leadership of regular business reviews and practice scorecard management, tracking bookings, pipeline health, revenue, and margin performance to deliver against agreed plans.
The technology landscape the role navigates includes Dynamics 365 and Business Central platforms combined with next-generation AI tools like Copilot and Copilot Studio. The ideal candidate will possess not only a deep understanding of Microsoft Business Applications but also relevant experience in AI and automation solutions that extend beyond traditional ERP and CRM implementation frameworks. This includes familiarity with multi-entity financial consolidation, Dynamics GP or NAV migrations, and system integrations following corporate acquisitions. Proficiency in communicating complex AI-driven concepts in clear business language to executive stakeholders is essential for fostering confidence and engagement.
This contract position offers a fully remote working arrangement, reflecting a flexible approach suited to today’s digital consultancy landscape. The role requires a self-starter comfortable managing relationships and sales processes in a specialist environment where technology enablement and business growth converge. Precision in forecasting, pricing within margin agreements, and close partnership with delivery leadership underline the professionalism expected in this position.
Candidates will demonstrate a proven track record of achieving measurable sales targets within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Business Central ecosystem, including success in channel sales models. Experience engaging with senior finance and operations leaders, particularly CFOs and COOs, is vital, along with a credible consultative approach that bridges technology and business strategy. Microsoft certifications in Dynamics 365, Business Central, or AI-related areas will support the candidate’s capability to deliver robust, commercially viable solutions. Candidates familiar with regulated sectors such as defence—especially those using Microsoft GCC High environments—will find their expertise particularly relevant.
Essential skills and experience include:
- Proven sales ownership of Dynamics 365 and/or Business Central with a strong pipeline and forecast management.
