  • Description

The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in steering complex digital transformation initiatives centred on the ServiceNow platform within a demanding federal and enterprise environment. This position exists to ensure the seamless delivery and strategic alignment of ServiceNow-based solutions that enhance operational efficiency, modernise workflows, and support evolving technology roadmaps. Operating in a technically sophisticated setting with low-code platform solutions, the successful candidate will influence both process improvement and strategic technology adoption, contributing significantly to mission-critical business outcomes.

In this role, the Project Manager will drive end-to-end project delivery, collaborating closely with executive leadership and business stakeholders to shape technology strategies and advance modernisation plans. Leading discovery sessions to diagnose current operational challenges and define future-state processes will be key, providing actionable insights to inform ServiceNow implementation strategies. Holding accountability throughout the project lifecycle—from requirements gathering, design, and testing through to deployment and user adoption—is essential to ensure that initiatives are executed on time and aligned with organisational goals.

Day-to-day responsibilities involve facilitating communication between senior stakeholders and technical teams, translating complex technical concepts into understandable terms for diverse audiences. The Project Manager will establish and maintain governance frameworks, including operating models and workflow improvements, to guarantee project integrity and guide decision-making processes. Working in partnership with architects, developers, and cross-functional teams, the role demands prioritising enhancement requests to maximise platform capabilities and meet business demands effectively.

This contract-based role is fully onsite at Fort Lee, VA, requiring dedicated presence five days a week to support close collaboration across teams and stakeholders. Candidates will operate within a regulated federal environment, where adherence to compliance standards such as NIST, RMF, eMASS, DoD 8140, and IL4/IL5 classifications is paramount. The working context involves consistent interaction with technology consulting engagements focused on government program delivery, where security clearances and citizenship status are critical prerequisites.

The Project Manager position specifically requires a comprehensive background in managing technology projects within federal frameworks, coupled with substantial expertise in ServiceNow or comparable low-code/no-code platforms. Candidates should hold an active Secret Clearance, U.S. Citizenship, a PMP certification, and bring a minimum of eight years’ project management experience, including at least four years in delivering ServiceNow solutions. Experience supporting federal government programmes and in leading technology consulting initiatives will be instrumental in succeeding here.

Additional qualifications that will strengthen candidacy include Certified Scrum Master accreditation, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner status, and a solid understanding of ITIL and IT Service Management principles. The ability to navigate the complexities of enterprise architecture and system design, together with familiarity with federal compliance and security protocols, will underpin effective project leadership.

This role demands strong strategic thinking to evaluate emerging technologies against business objectives, ensuring the chosen solutions drive innovation while maintaining feasibility. The Project Manager will also be expected to contribute to proofs of concept and explore innovative approaches to address evolving business challenges. Managing risks and conflicts, balancing multiple priorities, and meeting stakeholder expectations are core to the successful delivery of the portfolio of ServiceNow projects.

The aerospace, defence, space, and government administration sectors provide the operational backdrop for this role, underlining the importance of robust security practices and reliable project execution in service of public sector missions. This position offers the chance to engage deeply with technology modernisation and digital transformation efforts in a high-stakes environment where the impact of well-managed projects is significant and far-reaching.
