Descripción
Quantum Software Engineer – Scientific Computing
Location: Paris / Île-de-France
Type: Full-time
Salary: €70,000–€100,000 + equity
We are working with an innovative European deep-tech company developing advanced scientific simulation software.
They are looking for a Quantum Software Engineer to join their R&D team in Paris (or Brussels) and develop hybrid classical/quantum approaches for computationally intensive scientific problems.
You will work at the intersection of quantum computing, numerical algorithms and high-performance computing, taking research concepts through to practical implementation.
Responsabilidades:
- Develop and implement quantum and hybrid algorithms for scientific computing.
- Explore quantum approaches to differential equations, linear algebra and optimisation.
- Integrate algorithms into scientific software.
- Develop and benchmark hybrid HPC/GPU/quantum workflows.
- Validate new approaches through numerical experiments and simulation.
Your background:
Ideally, you will have a Master's or PhD in quantum computing, computer science, physics, applied mathematics or a related field, with experience in:
- Quantum computing and quantum algorithms
- Python and/or C++
- Numerical methods, linear algebra, optimisation or differential equations
- Scientific software development and algorithm implementation
Experience with GPU computing, CUDA, HPC, parallel computing, numerical simulation or CFD would be advantageous but is not essential.
This is a hands-on R&D role for someone who enjoys bridging quantum research and real-world scientific computing within an early-stage deep-tech environment.
