Sales Manager
We are looking for a seasoned Sales Manager to lead and professionalize the sales function at an established consumer products manufacturer with a strong footprint in national retail. This role plays a critical part in building the structure, KPIs, and team discipline needed to take the business into its next stage of growth. The position is primarily onsite, allowing for direct collaboration with ownership, operations, and the sales team.
This is a manager role, not an individual-contributor seller. You won't be carrying a personal book or chasing commission — you'll be coaching reps, owning the pipeline, and partnering with leadership to align how the team sells with how the business runs.
What You'll Do
Lead, coach, and develop the existing sales team on a day-to-day basis
Define and implement sales KPIs, reporting, and forecasting cadence
Own HubSpot as the source of truth for pipeline and activity data
Build the annual sales budget and set individual quotas
Partner cross-functionally with operations and graphics to align selling with delivery
Oversee how the team manages key national retail relationships without owning them personally
What We're Looking For
10+ years of sales experience, with a meaningful portion spent managing people
Direct experience selling into or managing accounts with large national retailers (mass, home improvement, farm and ranch, club, or similar)
Proven track record building sales processes, KPIs, and reporting in a small or mid-market environment
Strong command of HubSpot or a comparable CRM, with a willingness to enforce pipeline discipline
A builder's mentality — this function is still being formalized, and the right person will create rather than inherit
A true people manager who gets more energy from coaching a rep to a win than closing the deal themselves
