Interim-Controller

A mission-driven nonprofit delivering social services is seeking an Interim Controller to lead day-to-day finance operations through a period of significant transition. This role will focus on stabilizing the finance team following the departure of the current Controller, leading the annual budgeting process ahead of the July 1 fiscal year start, and serving as the internal project lead on a full ERP migration from Microsoft Great Plains to NetSuite. With a primarily on-site work model, this position is instrumental to the organization's financial continuity during a critical transformation period and offers a clear path to permanent conversion.

Proven experience as a Controller or similar finance leadership role, ideally within the nonprofit sector
Strong background in grant accounting and fund accounting, particularly with municipally funded programs
Hands-on experience with NetSuite implementation as a client-side project lead or super user; familiarity with Microsoft Great Plains a plus
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify process improvement opportunities and bridge current-state operations to future-state ERP environments
Self-starter who digs into problems, drives accountability, and thoughtfully redistributes team responsibilities during transitions
Familiarity with file-based system integrations (CSV uploads/downloads) and comfort coordinating with external implementation partners
