We are proud to collaborate with Kongsberg Maritime on this exciting role as we help them look for a skilled QA Engineer with strong test automation experience to help raise the quality bar across our next‑generation simulation platforms.

You’ll collaborate with several high‑impact development teams including Seaview, Model & Area Tooling, and Radar and work hands‑on with the core technology behind their advanced 3D simulation systems.

From Unreal Engine 5‑powered visuals to GIS‑driven world modelling and real‑time radar/sensor simulation, this role gives you the chance to test and validate some of the most technically exciting systems in the industry.

What You’ll Do

– Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for complex simulation components.
– Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
– Work closely with developers to ensure testability from day one
– Perform hands‑on testing of 3D systems, simulation logic, backend services, and data processing pipelines
– Define regression test suites, document test strategies, and promote a strong QA culture across teams

Who You Are:

You don’t just test features—you build systems that ensure reliability. You understand the challenges of validating highly technical, non‑UI components, and you thrive in cross‑functional, engineering‑driven teams.

Must‑Have Experience:

– 3+ years as a QA Engineer or Software Tester
– Proven test automation experience with frameworks such as Pytest, NUnit, Robot Framework, Playwright, etc.
– Strong scripting or coding skills (Python, C#, or similar)
– Experience integrating automated tests within CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
– Excellent test‑case design, debugging, and defect‑analysis skills
– Comfortable testing services, simulation engines, and data pipelines—not just UI
– This employment may require security clearance by the Norwegian National Security Authority. The successful candidate may start work with limited access whilst the clearance is being processed.

Bonus Points For:

– Experience testing 3D applications or exposure to Unreal Engine
– Background in GIS, radar simulation, or technical tooling
– Familiarity with Docker and containerized test environments
– ISTQB certification or similar QA methodology training
