We are working with an innovative European deep-tech company developing advanced scientific simulation software.
They are looking for a Quantum Software Engineer to join their R&D team in Paris (or Brussels) and develop hybrid classical/quantum approaches for computationally intensive scientific problems.
You will work at the intersection of quantum computing, numerical algorithms and high-performance computing, taking research concepts through to practical implementation.
Responsibilities:
– Develop and implement quantum and hybrid algorithms for scientific computing.
– Explore quantum approaches to differential equations, linear algebra and optimisation.
– Integrate algorithms into scientific software.
– Develop and benchmark hybrid HPC/GPU/quantum workflows.
– Validate new approaches through numerical experiments and simulation.
Your background:
Ideally, you will have a Master’s or PhD in quantum computing, computer science, physics, applied mathematics or a related field, with experience in:
– Quantum computing and quantum algorithms
– Python and/or C++
– Numerical methods, linear algebra, optimisation or differential equations
– Scientific software development and algorithm implementation
Experience with GPU computing, CUDA, HPC, parallel computing, numerical simulation or CFD would be advantageous but is not essential.
This is a hands-on R&D role for someone who enjoys bridging quantum research and real-world scientific computing within an early-stage deep-tech environment.

What You Will Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology or equivalent practical experience
5-8 years of relevant cybersecurity experience, including substantial hands-on security operations or incident response responsibility
Demonstrated experience independently leading complex investigations and response activities
Experience with Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, Entra ID, Azure security technologies, and the Microsoft security ecosystem
Experience with cloud security monitoring and cloud security posture management technologies
Familiarity with SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, PCI DSS, and related compliance frameworks
Experience supporting or governing third-party managed security service providers
Experience with phishing simulations, security awareness campaigns, and related communications
Relevant certifications such as Security+, CySA+, GSEC, SC-200, GCIH, GCIA, GCED, GMON, AZ-500, CISSP, or equivalent demonstrated expertise are strongly preferred
